The “duty of care” is a legal obligation that requires people or businesses to use reasonable caution when doing anything that might injure others (Avvo). This was made to insure that people or companies were not negligent in their actions and did not harm the public or its own workers. “Duty of care” is one of the first things that must be established in order for someone to pursue a negligence case. If you feel that a person or business has not fulfilled their “duty of care” and has caused you severe pain or has inhibited your life in some major way you may have a case for negligence.
